A short drive from your hotel takes you to the wharf. Then take a boat ride on the romantic Perfume River, stop at Thien Mu Pagoda, one of the best know religious sites. Here you can see the 7-storey octagonal tower representing the seven steps to enlightenment and an old Austin car which transported the bonze Thich Quang to Saigon in 1963 for his self-immolation. Continue tour by boat to the Minh Mang Tomb built between 1941 and 1943. The Emperor Tomb complex consists of 40 constructions (palaces, temples, pavilions) set on a lush garden. Travel back to inner city of Hue by car.
